Kevin Anderson, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Anderson is originally from Colorado. He received his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. He received his medical degree at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his internship and residency at North Colorado Family Medicine in Greeley, Colorado. He is board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Wisconsin Medical Society. His special interests are endoscopy, sports medicine, and obstetrics. He and his wife, Krista, and family live in Black River Falls. He enjoys motor sports, reading fiction, and outdoor activities.

Etson Cameron, Jr., MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Cameron is originally from Roxbury, Massachusetts, and received his undergraduate degree in education from Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his internship and residency at the Center for Family Medicine in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Cameron is board certified in Family Practice and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. His special interest is geriatrics. Dr. Cameron and his wife, Lynda Garden-Cameron, live in Black River Falls. He enjoys gardening, languages, jazz, and antiques.

Lea Coville, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Originally from San Angelo, Texas, Dr. Coville received an associate in applied science of nursing degree at Angelo State University in San Angelo. She received her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in Galveston, Texas, and completed her internship and residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center at the Permian Basin Department of Family and Community Medicine in Odessa, Texas. She is board eligible in Family Medicine and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Her special interests are women’s health, integrative and complementary medicine, and hospice. Previously, she was a midwife for HELP International in the Philippines. She and her husband, Patrick, live in Black River Falls. When time permits, she enjoys reading, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, and computer games.

James J. Dickman, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Dickman attended Marquette University for his undergraduate program. He completed medical school at Marquette's School of Medicine, Milwaukee, and completed his internship at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. Dr. Dickman then worked for two years at a Native American remote clinic with the Navajo tribe in Shonto, Arizona. He has been with the Krohn Clinic since 1973. He is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the Christian Medical Society, American Academy of Family Practice, and State Medical Society. His special interests include stomach and bowel disorders and colon cancer. Dr. Dickman and his wife, Annette, enjoy family activities and fishing.

Paul Greenlaw, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Raised in Marshfield, Wisconsin, Dr. Greenlaw received a bachelor’s degree in applied math, engineering, and physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He received his medical degree at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and completed his internship and residency at the University of Illinois at the Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He is a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians. His special interests are diabetes, ultrasonography, and smoking cessation. Before medical school he was a civil, environmental, and mechanical engineer in southern and southeastern Wisconsin. He and his family live just outside Black River Falls. His interests include the outdoors, alternative energy sources, and flying.

Gokhan Guvenli, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Guvenli is originally from Turkey and received his medical degree at the University of Aegean School of Medicine in Izmir, Turkey. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in Miami, Florida. Dr. Guvenli is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Wisconsin Medical Society, the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, and the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians. Previously he had worked at the Diabetes Research Institute and Department of Surgery Division of Transplant at the University of Miami. He was also a medical instructor in Miami. His special interests are obstetrics and pediatrics. Dr. Guvenli, his wife Holly, and their family live in Black River Falls. Patricia Jacobson, FNP - Family Nurse Practitioner
Patricia completed her undergraduate program with a degree in nursing at Marquette University in Milwaukee. She earned her degree as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has over 25 years clinical experience in emergency medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology. Patricia joined the Krohn Clinic in November 2000. She is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her interests include pediatrics, adolescent medicine, and women's health. Patricia enjoys riding and showing horses with her family, snow skiing, and sports activities, as well as being active in community theatre.

David Kellen, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Kellen attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, for his undergraduate program. He completed medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his residency at the Family Practice Clinic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Kellen has been with the Krohn Clinic since 1990. He is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and State Medical Society. His special interests include allergies, asthma, pilot physicals, and colorectal disease, and his training applies to all family practice areas. Dr. Kellen enjoys youth sports and coaches baseball, soccer, and basketball. He is also a Sunday school and Vacation Bible school teacher.

James Kesler, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Kesler received his undergraduate degree at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and his medical degree at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Kirk Lane, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Lane is originally from Dallas, Texas, and received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, and completed his internship and residency at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. Michael Mahan, MD - Family Medicine Physician

Gary Petersen, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Petersen grew up in northern Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and his M.S. degree from Colorado State University. He completed medical school at the University of Missouri and his residency at St. Luke's, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Dr. Petersen has been with the Krohn Clinic since 1974. His special interests include asthma and adult chronic pulmonary disease. Dr. Petersen enjoys woodworking and gardening.

Jeff Polzin, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Polzin was raised in Minnesota. He attended Mankato State University for his undergraduate program and majored in math and chemistry. He completed medical school and his family practice residency at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Polzin has been with the Krohn Clinic since 1981. He is board certified in Family Practice and has added credentials in Sports Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and Tri-County Medical Society. Dr. Polzin’s special interests include sports medicine, dermatology, and cardiology. His hobbies are bicycling, kayaking, volleyball, and horseback riding. Del Rogers, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Rogers is originally from De Kalb, Illinois, and received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his internship and residency at the West Suburban Family Practice Residency Program in Oak Park, Illinois. Dr. Rogers is board certified in Family Practice and a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. His special interest is adolescent medicine. Richard Rogge, MD - Family Medicine Physician
Dr. Rogge completed his undergraduate studies at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he received a BA degree and at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, where he received an MS degree. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City and completed his residency at the Wausau Family Practice Residency Program. Paul E. Helstad, DPM - Podiatrist
Dr. Helstad was born and raised in Ettrick, Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He attended Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Helstad has been with the Krohn Clinic since 1993. His specialty is treatment of the foot and ankle. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, Wisconsin Podiatric Medical Society, as well as Lions Club International. Dr. Helstad and his wife, Connie, enjoy family activities, sports, and fishing.

Steve Firkins, MS, LCSW, CADCII – AODA Counselor
Steve received his undergraduate degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and his master’s degree in counseling from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota.  He is licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a clinical social worker and certified as an alcohol drug counselor.  Steve practices a wide range of counseling issues including marital and family problems, alcohol and drug abuse assessments and counseling, anxiety and depression disorders, life cycle and situation stress problems, domestic abuse issues, and child, adolescent, and parenting concerns.  He and his family live in Black River Falls.  He enjoys reading, nature hiking, traveling, photography, drawing, painting, and sculpture.

Catherine Whitehouse, MD - Psychiatrist
Dr. Whitehouse attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, for her undergraduate program. Robert Johnson, MD - Emergency Room Physician
Dr. Johnson received his undergraduate degree at Chapman University in Orange, California and his medical degree at St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies. He completed his family practice residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center and Loma Linda University, Riverside, California, in 1994. Carol Martin, MD - Emergency Room Physician
Dr. Martin is an Iowa farm girl who moved to Black River Falls with her family in 1996. She received her undergraduate degree from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and completed medical school at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Her family's love of winter took them to Eau Claire for residency and kept them here in Western Wisconsin. She is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and State Medical Society. Her special interests include sports medicine, women's health, and geriatrics. Her hobbies include biking, quilting, cooking, and writing.

David Merritt, MD - Emergency Room Physician
Dr. Merritt received his undergraduate degree in medical science and his master’s degree in pediatric emergency medicine, both at the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver, Colorado. He then received both a master’s degree in hyperbaric medicine and a medical degree at SABA University School of Medicine in the Caribbean. He completed his residency at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. Dr. Merritt is a flight surgeon and diving medical officer in the United States Army. He served as an instructor of Combat and Emergency Medicine in the United States Army Special Operations Command. He served with the U.S. Army Special Forces in Iraq, and was awarded the Bronze Star. His special interests are pediatric medicine, aviation medicine, and hyperbaric medicine. He was medical director of a hyperbaric chamber in the Caribbean and has authored a book, Mending the Bends (Best Publishing). He enjoys flying, fishing, skiing, scuba diving, and photography.

Christine Seguin, FNP - Family Nurse Practitioner
Christine completed her undergraduate program with a degree in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She earned her graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has over 15 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing, home care, and public health. Christine joined the Ho-Chunk Health Care Center in November 1999. She is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the American Nurses Association and the Wisconsin Nurses Association. Her interests include pediatrics, adolescents, and women’s health. Christine enjoys family sporting activities as well as following the local high school teams. Lisa Sullivan, FNP - Family Nurse Practitioner
Lisa completed her undergraduate program at the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a degree in nursing. She earned her graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She has over 13 years clinical experience in emergency medicine, cardiology, and intensive critical care. Lisa has been with the Krohn Clinic since 1996. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, a member of the Wisconsin Nurses Association, and a volunteer health-care provider at St. Claire Health Mission in Sparta, Wisconsin. He received his MSN at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with his certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He has over 15 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, and family practice. He is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He is also certified in advanced cardiac life support and advanced trauma life support. He is active on the board of the Midwest Tactical Officers Association. Steven is the medic for the Monroe County tactical team and is SWAT certified. Cary Tauchman, MD - Emergency Room Physician
Dr. Tauchman received his undergraduate degree at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, and his medical degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois.  He completed his residency in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield.  He began working in emergency medicine while a resident and then full-time in 1995 with Marshfield Clinic.  He is married and enjoys traveling and outdoor activities.

Kaare Tingelstad, DO - Emergency Room Physician
Originally from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Dr. Tingelstad received his undergraduate degree in biology and psychology from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. He received his doctor of osteopathy degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed residency at the Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, Washington. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is credentialed in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Wilderness Advanced Life Support. Robert Zink, MD - Emergency Room Physician
Originally from Carrington, North Dakota, Dr. Zink received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at North Dakota State University in Fargo. He received his medical degree at the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis and completed his residency at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis. Darrin Antonelli, MD - General Surgeon
Dr. Antonelli received his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University in New Jersey and his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his general surgery residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey, and was chief resident. Dr. Antonelli has a background in general and laparoscopic surgical procedures and during his residency he had experience in trauma and cardio-thoracic and pediatric surgery. He has been with the Krohn Clinic since September 2000. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and State Medical Society. Dr. Antonelli and his wife, Pamela, both grew up in New Jersey. He and his family live in Black River Falls. They enjoy golfing, baseball, reading, and computers.

Mary Nordahl, CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Mary graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Viterbo College in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She received her Nurse Anesthesia training at St. Francis School of Anesthesia also in La Crosse. Jim Carroll, CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Jim is a native of Southern California. He received his nursing education at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California, and at the College of St. Teresa in Minnesota. He graduated from the St. Francis School of Anesthesia in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the Association of Military Surgeons of the US, and a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality. Interests include computer applications in anesthesia process improvement. He serves as a moderator of an international anesthesia discussion group on the Internet. Leisure-time interests include music, playing stringed instruments, photography, and walking.

Gregory Sauer, CRNA – Certified Registered Nurse AnesthetistGregory Sauer received his BSN from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota.  Prior to entering the field of anesthesiology, he worked as a nurse clinician in the Department of Neurosurgery, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.  He completed his education in nurse anesthesia at St. Francis Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  He practiced at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, and Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin, prior to joining the Anesthesia Department at Black River Memorial Hospital. He is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Wisconsin Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Greg and his wife, Fran, live in La Crosse with their children.

Dennis Stalsberg, CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Dennis received his nursing education at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He completed his education in nurse anesthesia at St. Francis Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Mr. Stalsberg practiced at Maricopa County Medical Center and Burn Unit in Phoenix, Arizona, and Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse prior to joining the Anesthesia Department at Black River Memorial Hospital. He is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Wisconsin Association of Nurse Anesthetists. He and his wife Cindy’s great enjoyment in life is family. He also enjoys fishing, hiking, golfing, and almost any activity that allows being outdoors.

Benjamin Boardman, MD - Family Practice Physician
Dr. Boardman was born and raised in Madison. He completed his undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at City University of New York while working as a city EMT. Later he attended Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his family practice residency at the University of Minnesota (Smiley’s Clinic). He worked in urban community clinics in the Twin Cities and with the Bloomington Lake Clinic in Minneapolis. He first worked for the Ho-Chunk Nation Health Care Center in 1998-1999 and returned in July 2002. He has been active in the tribe’s campaign to control and prevent diabetes and provides obstetrical care. He is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. He lives in Melrose with his family and assorted friends and animals. He enjoys theatre, arts, canoeing, cycling, and fine foods.

Sue Christopherson, FNP - Family Nurse Practitioner
Sue completed her undergraduate program at Viterbo College in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has clinical experience in critical care, emergency care and home care. Sue joined the staff of the Ho-Chunk Nation Health Care Center in July of 1997. She is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Wisconsin Nurses Association. Her interests include women’s health, pediatrics, and adolescent health. Sue enjoys swimming, hiking, golf, and family sports activities. She is also a Sunday school teacher.

Christine Seguin, FNP - Family Nurse Practitioner
Christine completed her undergraduate program with a degree in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She earned her graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She has over 15 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing, home care, and public health. Christine joined the Ho-Chunk Health Care Center in November 1999. She is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the American Nurses Association and the Wisconsin Nurses Association. Her interests include pediatrics, adolescents, and women’s health. Christine enjoys family sporting activities as well as following the local high school teams. She has coached little league baseball and served on its board. Christine enjoys walking, golfing, reading, and spending time with her extended family.
